Cottages within easy reach of St. Davids

Located only 9 miles from our eco barn holiday cottages, St. Davids is an  ancient centre of Celtic Christianity and boasts an imposing Norman Cathedral, which is well worth exploring.

Visit nearby St. Nons Well to see where St. David is said to have been born, and explore the rugged countryside, which offers some great walking. One of the most awesome sights in Europe must be the roaring tidal race between Penmaen Melyn and Ramsey Island.

Despite being a city, St. Davids is the size of a large village, with a population of around 2,000. It is the second smallest city in Britain and can get very busy and congested in summer. You’ll find many galleries and cafes to enjoy, and a number of outdoor adventure providers too.

And don’t forget to take a look at Oriel-y-Parc when you visit, a National Gallery dedicated to the exploration of landscape through art. Contact 01437 720392 for details.

Please feel free to ask our advice if you’re planning to travel from our cottages to St. Davids by public transport.
